Nigel McGuinness Addresses Confusion Around Bryan Danielson Match
Nigel McGuinness wants to retire Bryan Danielson.
At All Out, Bryan Danielson was left broken by Jon Moxley after his former BCC teammate tried to suffocate him with a plastic bag.
On the following episode of Dynamite, Moxley again went after Darby Allin and challenged the star to put his World Title shot on the line. Allin had been due to challenge Danielson at Grand Slam, but Moxley said the champion would be unable to compete.
Later in the show, Nigel McGuinness then challenged Danielson to a match at the event. This caused confusion as fans had been led to believe Danielson would be unable to wrestle.
Nigel McGuinness Irons Out Confusion
On the following episode of Collision, Nigel McGuinness addressed his upcoming match with Danielson and broke down how he got the opportunity.
The British star noted that when Moxley said Danielson wouldn’t be at Grand Slam, he was merely speculating. So with Moxley set to do battle with Allin, he realised that Danielson is without a match. Upon having this lightbulb moment, McGuinness asked Tony Khan for the match.
McGuinness then shared footage of his numerous battles with Danielson in Ring of Honor, commenting that the American Dragon is still haunted by their battles.
