Nick Khan To Receive A Mammoth Payday If WWE Is Sold
WWE President Nick Khan could be set to net a substantial sum of money if the company ends up being sold.
The subject of WWE being sold to another media giant has been discussed for years now, with those conversations really taking hold after former talent agency executive Nick Khan joined the company.
Speaking on What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, host Conrad Thompson noted that a contact he has was surprised to find out Nick Khan was leaving his previous role at CAA to join WWE:
“He was a guy who was helping negotiate contracts and make deals and things like that, and I happen to have friends who need representation like that, we’ll say that. My friend was represented by the same company that Nick Khan was sort of running. When my friend sees that the guy who runs this big agency is now going to WWE, he goes, ‘What the f**k? This doesn’t make any sense.'”
Conrad Thompson went on to note that the friend in question found out why Khan was leaving for WWE and that he told Thompson that a deal was put in place that meant Nick Khan would receive a hefty payday should he help facilitate a deal to sell WWE, although Thompson stopped short of revealing the number.
The idea of a sale has come to the fore once again over the first week of 2023 after Vince McMahon’s shocking return to WWE’s Board of Directors.
