Nick Khan Comments On “Horrific” Vince McMahon Allegations

Vince McMahon/ Nick Khan split

Nick Khan has discussed WWE’s deal with Netflix and the allegations made against Vince McMahon.

On January 23rd it was announced that WWE had reached a monster new deal with Netflix which will see the streaming platform broadcast Monday Night Raw from January 2025. The huge deal is set to last for 10 years.

Two days later, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. After the lawsuit went public Slim Jim paused its sponsorship of the Royal Rumble but reinstated it after McMahon resigned from the TKO board.

Appearing on The Town with Matthew Belloni, Nick Khan denied speculation that the lawsuit could have put the Netflix deal in danger.

“I don’t know about killed, but it certainly wouldn’t have helped the deal. Those allegations are obviously horrific and serious and we take them and interpret them the same way any other reasonable person or organization would interpret them. You saw the quick resignation,”

Khan went on to deny there was pressure from Netflix for McMahon to resign and reiterated that McMahon is no longer involved with WWE.

Vince McMahon Accused Of Intimidation Tactics

On April 1st, the New York Post published a 2,200-word ‘love letter’ written by Grant to McMahon in December 2021. Grant’s lawyer Ann Callis claims her client was coerced into writing the letter.

In a new interview, Callis said the release of the letter was an intimidation tactic from Vince McMahon and an attempt at victim-shaming her client.

An attorney for McMahon denied the letter was coerced.
