Nick Khan Confesses He And Triple H Made Mistakes In WWE
WWE President Nick Khan has commented on his working relationship with Triple H.
In recent weeks, the relationship between Nick Khan and Triple has been in the spotlight like arguably never before.
In the lead-up to Saturday Night’s Main Event, R-Truth revealed that he would be leaving WWE when his contract expired. Something that was believed to be a Triple H decision. However, just six days later, he was back on television and signed to a new contract.
Following his comeback, it was reported that Nick Khan personally reached out to R-Truth to secure the deal after he had ignored earlier calls from the company.
During an appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s ‘What’s Your Story?’ podcast, Khan discussed the importance of learning from mistakes. He explained that he and Triple H make mistakes all of the time, but it’s the response to those mistakes that’s important.
“Same with business, and if you make a mistake in the decision, that’s okay too. Fix it. No issue. Paul (Levesque) and I, Triple H and I, we make mistakes in business every day.
The good thing is we have one another, where we can say, ‘I think I did this. What do you think?’ ‘Ah, I don’t think that was the move. Maybe we could think of it the other way.’ ‘Okay, let’s try that,’ and then to the executive committee meeting — the executive committee part of me, the senior leadership team will say, ‘Hey, this got messed up. We’re gonna pivot,’ we’re gonna do X, Y and Z instead and everyone rolls in the same direction.”
Triple H And WWE Forced Into Creative Change
Khan’s comments came after it was reported that WWE has been forced into major creative changes following an injury to Liv Morgan.
On the June 16 episode of Raw, Morgan took a routine bump during a match against Kairi Sane, but landed awkwardly, dislocating her shoulder. Although it was hoped she wouldn’t require surgery, unfortunately, that hasn’t proven to be the case.
Morgan is now expected to miss six months of action, and that’s had a big impact on the company’s upcoming Evolution event. The star has been set to feature in one of the biggest matches on the card, and not only that, the reshuffle will now impact the rest of the card.
