Nick Aldis Kicks Off SmackDown With Huge WWE Championship Announcement
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has made a major announcement regarding the WWE Championship.
Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre have been at each other’s throats for a couple of weeks. Ahead of tonight’s episode of the blue brand, Aldis announced that the two would finally go one-on-one in San Jose.
The SmackDown General Manager kicked off tonight’s SmackDown with a major announcement, revealing that the square off between The Scottish Warrior and The Samoan Werewolf has become a number one contender’s match for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship.

The Winner Will Face Cody Rhodes At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Aldis then introduced The American Nightmare, who cut a promo addressing his defeat against Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, pointing out that while The Visionary would now have to deal with his issues, he would handle SmackDown business.
Rhodes disclosed that he would be watching the match between McIntyre and Fatu to find out who he would face at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The American Nightmare last defended his title at Wrestlepalooza against Drew McIntyre. Meanwhile, Fatu is rumored to be injured and set to miss significant time.
