Nia Jax Defends WWE Women’s Title On 3-Hour SmackDown
Nia Jax will put the WWE Women’s Championship on the line when SmackDown becomes three hours long on the first show of 2025.
The 27th of December edition of SmackDown saw a huge six-woman tag team match take place as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi teamed with Bayley to take on Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae.
Belair, Naomi, and Bayley picked up the victory and now one of them will get a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship. It was confirmed that on the first SmackDown of 2025, Naomi will once again challenge for Nia Jax’s title. Naomi was the last challenger on TV for Jax’s gold with Nia Jax retaining her title on the 15th of November edition of SmackDown.
Naomi Looking For Double WWE Title Success
Naomi officially became one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with a big win on the previous edition of SmackDown. Naomi filled in after Jade Cargill was put out of action due to a mystery attack backstage. It remains unknown how long Cargill will be missing.
The first three-hour edition of SmackDown will also see US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura face Andrade with Andrade seemingly in line for a title shot if he picks up the win.
