Nia Jax Breaks Character To Praise WWE Rival
Nia Jax has broken character to praise fellow WWE Superstar Tiffany Stratton.
The popular 25 year-old star successfully cashed in her Money In The Bank contract to pry the WWE Women’s Championship from long-time friend Jax during the 3rd January 2025 edition of SmackDown.
The victory saw Stratton lift her first singles title on the main roster having previously held the NXT Women’s Championship in 2023.
Despite losing the coveted title in the harshest of circumstances to her former friend, Jax has opened up about her admiration for the Minnesota-born Superstar.
During a recent appearance on ‘Stay Busy with Armon Sadler‘, Jax took time to praise Stratton as she reflected upon the successful cash-in:
“I thought it was beautiful. I’m torn. It was a beautiful moment to watch my Tiffy become champion. Being at the other end of it, did it hurt a little bit? Yes.
But watching the reaction of the crowd when she hit me on the back, when I was watching back and reactions, I couldn’t even hear myself in that moment.
It was beautiful. It was beautiful that everybody was like, ‘Oh, it’s not going to happen.’ She played it perfectly. I have to give her, her flowers on that one.”
Despite applauding Stratton for her title victory, Jax returned to character to fire a chilling warning to her former pal:
“There is part of me that is a little proud of her because I taught her well, I can’t lie. The betrayal still eats at me. She definitely shouldn’t be sitting comfortably.”
Nia Jax Fails To Capture Gold At Saturday Night’s Main Event
Nia Jax was unable to capture to WWE Women’s World Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on 25th January.
The Sydney-born star has turned her focus to Rhea Ripley in recent times but was unable to topple ‘The Eradicator’ in a hard-fought opening bout of the night in San Antonio, Texas.
Jax will instead look to lift gold again at WrestleMania after declaring her entry into the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble.
