News: WWE Will Continue Using Amway Center “ThunderDome” Through November, New Steve Austin Book, Total Bellas

The WWE ThunderDome setup is going to continue for at least another month. It’s being reported by PWInsider that WWE and Amway Center in Orlando have agreed to extend WWE’s leasing of the arena through the month of November. The current deal was set to expire at the end of October. WWE started using the Amway Center as its home base in mid-August due to not being allowed to have regular fans because of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

That means that all of November’s episodes of Raw and Smackdown will take place at the Amway Center including Survivor Series on Sunday, November 22.

The Amway Center is the home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic. It will also be used for voting for United States’ Presidential election on Tuesday, November 3rd as well. WWE isn’t running an event that day, but they will have Raw the night before. It’s not known if the voters would use the main part of the arena where WWE’s ring is or if it would be in another part of the building.

TJR Thoughts: This news isn’t a surprise at all. The ThunderDome setup has worked very well for WWE. Even though the state of Florida is allowing fans at sporting events, WWE likely wants to be cautious and by having fans on the screens, at least there is some fan representation on the shows.

There’s a new book coming out soon about WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. It’s called: “Austin 3:16: 316 Facts & Stories about Stone Cold Steve Austin.” The book is produced by ECW Press, which has done WWE books in the past and it’s written by Michael McAvennie. The release date is March 16, 2021, so yes it’s on 3/16 day.

Here are the promotional notes about the book:

… and quoted iconic scripture on his opponent: “Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!”

What?

Austin 3:16 celebrates the six-time WWE Champion’s finest moments in the ring and on the microphone …

What?

… and crashes other WWE Superstars’ in-ring revelries while behind the wheel of a beer truck …

What?

… a Zamboni …

What?

… and a monster truck.

What?

This book collects 316 Stone Cold facts, figures and catchphrases that uncover little known facets about the Texas Rattlesnake …

What?

Bottom line: Austin 3:16 says it all …

What?

… BECAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!

TJR Thoughts: I’m a big Steve Austin fan, so I’ll probably get the book next March even though I know a lot of the answers to the questions due to seeing interviews with him and reading his autobiography from the 2000s. I just think the press release is annoying with the “What?” usage even though it’s a phrase Austin helped to coin in WWE about 19 years ago. I just think it got a little annoying reading it there.

TJR Thoughts: Poor Daniel Bryan. I mean he does live a good life and has a lovely wife and family. I just mean being on the show in general. If you read my regular TV reviews, you know I tend to say it all the time. Just get back in the ring, Bryan. I miss you.
