Newest WWE Star Gets Name Change On Debut

Triple H WWE

WWE NXT saw the debut of a highly anticipated star but unlike Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, they’ve been given a whole new name.

The first edition of NXT on the CW Network saw two huge title matches take place. Shawn Michaels and Triple H introduced new title belts as the new era arrived on the brand.

The show also saw a vignette air teasing the debut of a mystery woman who many believe to be Australian star DELTA. DELTA made her name in her native Australia as part of Riot City Wrestling where she held the same RCW Women’s Title previously held by Indi Hartwell and Demi Bennett – who is better known these days as Rhea Ripley.

DELTA is believed to have signed with WWE back in July 2024. The numbers seen in the vignette – 10 and 27 – could prove to be significant as NXT will hold the Halloween Havoc premium live event on the 27th of October – but DELTA wasn’t waiting until then after all.

DELTA Gets WWE Name Change

On the 22nd of October edition of NXT, another vignette aired hyping the star and confirmed that DELTA will now be known as ZARIA in WWE.

But that was not the whole story.

After Fatal Influence lost a tag team main event against Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, the group went on to spin the Halloween Havoc wheel to determine the stipulation for the NXT Women’s North American Title match against Kelani Jordan. The wheel landed on ‘spinner’s choice’ but the group were quickly interrupted as ZARIA made her first entrance in the company.
