Newest AEW Star Needs Surgery Just Days After Debut
AEW’s injury issues continue, now with the company’s newest talent needing to undergo surgery after making their debut.
At AEW All In Texas, Adam Cole revealed he had to give up the TNT Title and was contemplating retirement after another injury issue had put him on the shelf. It is widely believed that Cole suffered a concussion during a match with Kyle Fletcher, and this is not the first time Cole has had to battle concussion issues, leaving his career hanging in the balance.
The show also saw two Casino Gauntlet matches take place, with MJF walking away with a future shot at the AEW World Champion in the men’s bout. The women’s bout saw ROH Women’s Champion Athena pick up a huge win in a match that featured a debut.
AEW’s Syuri Needs Elbow Surgery
Japanese star Syuri made her first appearance in AEW in that match, but fans excited to see the former STARDOM talent and IWGP Women’s Champion may now have to wait some time to see her again.
Syuri revealed on her Instagram Stories that she is set to undergo surgery very soon:
I’m having surgery this month on my elbow, which has been hurting for a while!!
It remains to be seen how long Syuri will have to miss from the ring after her surgery.
