Newest AEW Signing’s Arrival Imminent
There is a new face on the AEW roster and they are set to make their official debut in the company sooner rather than later.
Mina Shirakawa is said to have informed Stardom at the end of 2024 that she’d be leaving the promotion. Shirakawa competed eleven times in AEW in 2024 and was part of the joint Wrestle Dynasty show in the Tokyo Dome in January 2025. That show saw Mercedes Mone defeat Shirakawa to win the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
Shirakawa is the former partner of Mariah May, and their partnership was played up in AEW as part of May’s feud with Toni Storm. But in an increasingly competitive market for free agents in the pro wrestling business, nothing was certain about where Shirakawa could end up after Stardom. That was until Mina Shirakawa herself confirmed her future was in AEW.
But since then, all has gone quiet with no sign of Shirakawa back in Tony Khan’s company. However, that is all about to change.
Mina Shirakawa Appearing In AEW Soon
Fightful Select has reported that Mina Shirakawa is now expected in AEW imminently. This could come as soon as the next couple of weeks, and it is noted that Shirakawa is set for an immediate push upon joining the company.
While Shirakawa is on her way into AEW, her former tag team partner Mariah May could be on her way out of Tony Khan’s company before the end of the year.
