New WWE World Tag Team Champions Crowned On Raw

R-Truth The Miz WWE World Tag Team Champions

There was a major title change on Raw as new World Tag Team Champions were crowned with one star winning the gold for the very first time.

For the fifth time since winning the World Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40, The Awesome Truth put their title on the line on Raw in Indianapolis, but it was a match they didn’t have to have.

In recent weeks, Liv Morgan has made several advances towards Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day as she seeks to ruin Rhea Ripley’s life after putting her on the injury list. However, it is Morgan’s relationship with another member of the group that is now under the spotlight.

Liv Morgan Helps New WWE World Tag Team Champions

Liv Morgan convinced R-Truth to put the World Tag Team Championship on the line against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh leaving Truth’s partner The Miz less than impressed.

Later in the night, Morgan was seen leaving The Judgment Day’s locker room by Damian Priest and when he entered, he found Finn Balor alone. Balor convinced Priest nothing shady had happened between them but Liv Morgan made sure the Irish stars walked away with gold.

Liv Morgan was at ringside for the title match, getting involved by pulling R-Truth neck first into the ropes which allowed Finn Balor to hit the Coup de Grace for the win.

This is Finn Balor’s fifth reign as a tag team champion in WWE while it is JD McDonagh’s first gold on the company’s main roster and his first since holding the NXT Cruiserweight Championship for over 400 days in 2020 and 2021.
