Week Two of NXT Gold Rush continued tonight, following up on all the drama that went down last week. In one of the more memorable matches from last week, Blake Monroe defended her NXT Women’s North American Championship.

She was defending her title against former champion Sol Ruca, who had never lost the title after suffering an injury. Zaria defended the title on her behalf but lost it to Monroe.

Sol Ruca wrestled the match with a knee brace and Monroe took advantage of her injured knee. Despite her valiant effort, she lost the match after Zaria threw in the towel for Ruca, when she saw her writhing in pain.

This led to a rift between the two friends leading to Zaria coming out alone for her WWE Women’s Speed Championship match against Fallon Henly, who had Lainey Reid and Jacy Jayne on her side.

Zaria fails to win the WWE Women’s Speed Championship on NXT

Zaria wrestled the entire match with Sol Ruca on her side but looked in control of the match and always had the upper hand over Fallon Henley. The two women put on an exciting match in five minute time limit.

However, neither of them were able to win the match within the alloted time limit, which led to NXT General Manager, Ava, announcing that the match would continue as a sudden death match.

The numbers advantage worked in favour of Henley as just when Zaria looked to tackle Henley into the steel steps, Reid pulled her aside, making Zaria go straight into the steps.

This allowed Henley to hit her with the Shinning Wizard and followed it up with a famouser in the middle of the ring to become the new WWE Women’s Speed Champion.
