New WWE SmackDown Faction Reveals Name

The Final Testament WWE

One new WWE faction has a name of biblical proportions that was revealed on SmackDown.

On the January 5th episode of SmackDown, Bobby Lashley announced his entry into the Royal Rumble flanked by the Street Profits. With the trio standing tall they were attacked by the Authors of Pain as Paul Ellering, Scarlett and Karrion Kross watched on from the top of the ramp. Kross entered the fray to take out Lashley with a vicious move.

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits have their own faction name and on SmackDown in Lincoln, Nebraska the trio was interrupted by Paul Ellering who pointed to the video screen. A vignette then played where Kross addressed them before revealing that he, Scarlett, the Authors of Pain, and Ellering will be known as The Final Testament.

WWE Faction Name Has Wrestling History

The final testament in terms of the Christian bible is the Book of Revelation. That book includes the story of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and indeed, fans of the eighties and nineties will remember Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and Ole Anderson as the original incarnation of the wrestling group named after the harbingers of doom.

Revelation was also on Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts’ mind when he returned to WWE in 1996. Having accepted God into his life, his old snake, Damian was out and his new snake was named Revelations.
