New Details Of AEW’s Bumper TV Deal Revealed

Tony Khan AEW

Following the huge announcement of AEW’s multi-million dollar deal with WBD, more details about the new agreement have now come to light.

As reported by Variety, All Elite Wrestling has reached a new multi-year media rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery. Although financial terms weren’t disclosed, the deal is said to be worth upwards of $150 million per year.

As per the agreement, Dynamite and Collision will remain on TBS and TNT respectively. However, for the first time ever, AEW programming will stream live on Max and will be available on-demand from January 2025. Pay-per-views will stream live on Max beginning later in 2025 at a discounted rate.

Now Fightful Select has offered more details on the deal and confirmed that Dynamite and Collision will remain on Wednesday and Saturday nights respectively with Rampage no longer airing on WBD which could signal the end of that show.

AEW Rampage Gone? Dark Returning?

Many fans are intrigued to see what this means for AEW’s library and it seems the plan is to have the full library of Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage included on Max. However, should Rampage end up airing elsewhere then its library will not be available on the streaming service.

The report also noted AEW sources pointing towards the UFC pay-per-view model which their own is now similar to in that fans have to subscribe to a service and pay a fee for the show and said once you give up a PPV model there is no way to go back. It was also suggested that this model could change further down the line.

WBD’s exclusivity for AEW programming has now disappeared as part of this new deal leaving Tony Khan’s company able to produce a show on FOX as has been heavily rumoured. It also leaves the door open for the return of AEW Dark which previously aired on the promotion’s YouTube channel.
