Major Championship Changes Hands At WWE SummerSlam
A major championship changed hands at WWE SummerSlam.
Raquel Rodriguez originally held the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside her Judgment Day teammate Liv Morgan. However, the latter was recently replaced by Roxanne Perez after suffering a legitimate shoulder injury that would sideline her for several months.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss have formed a tag team in the past few weeks despite insisting on not being friends. After failing in their first attempt to capture the Women’s Tag Team Title at Evolution, the two top superstars received another shot at the championship tonight at WWE SummerSlam.
Friendly Fire Almost Cost Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair WWE SummerSlam Match
During the match, The Judgment Day attempted to isolate Bliss from her tag team partner. However, the momentum shifted when the former SmackDown Women’s Champion finally succeeded in tagging in her 14-time world champion partner. One of the bout’s highlights was The Queen delivering a moonsault to both opponents.

A friendly fire incident also occurred when Bliss accidentally punched her tag team partner, giving their opponents an advantage. Little Miss Bliss corrected her mistake by saving her partner from getting pinned. The two then worked together as Flair took out Rodriguez while Bliss delivered the Sister Abigail to Perez to pin her to capture the Women’s Tag Team Title at WWE SummerSlam.
