New AEW Title Introduced For Huge All In Texas Match
There will be a new AEW title introduced at All In Texas, but it still means there will be one less championship in the company.
Kenny Omega captured the AEW International Championship at Revolution when he defeated Konosuke Takeshita for the gold. In recent weeks, Omega’s title has taken a backseat as he’s become embroiled in the huge feud pitting several AEW stars against the Death Riders and Omega’s old partners, The Young Bucks, culminating in Anarchy In The Arena at Double Or Nothing.
At AEW Fyter Fest, the title was back centre stage for Omega as he put his gold on the line in a huge four-way match featuring Claudio Castagnoli, Mascara Dorada, and Brody King. Kenny Omega managed to escape that match with his championship, but his next challenger soon made themselves known as one of wrestling’s all-time great rivalries is about to be reignited.
AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada immediately confronted Omega as both men held their title belts aloft before a brawl broke out. Later in the show, Tony Schiavone confirmed that a huge “Winner Take All” double title match had been made for All In Texas, pitting Omega and Okada against each other once again.
But now it seems that the match will be for a new title as the Continental and International championships will be no more.
AEW Unified Championship Revealed
At AEW Summer Blockbuster, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada signed their contract for All In Texas, where it was revealed that the winner of the match will capture the brand new AEW Unified Championship.

Don Callis appeared to run down Omega, which allowed Kazuchika Okada to brutally attack him. Omega was left bleeding from the mouth as Okada and Callis escaped from the arena together.
