New AEW Faction Given Name

Saraya caused a sensation when he joined AEW back at Dynamite Grand Slam in September 2022, but since then the former WWE star has recruited two other competitors that used to work for that company to take the fight to AEW’s homegrown stars.

Saraya has been joined in her quest by another star who used to ply her trade in that promotion in Toni Storm and the two women have waged war against the rest of the division.

At Revolution, Jamie Hayter defended her AEW Women’s Championship against both Saraya and Ruby Soho, the latter of whom had so far failed to indicate on what side of this battle she would come down on despite her previous tenure in WWE. But in San Francisco, everyone got their answer.

Hayter retained her championship but after the match, she and Baker were attacked by Saraya and Storm while Soho watched on. Eventually, Ruby Soho ran off the villainous duo and posed with Jamie Hayter before laying out the women’s champion and siding with the outsiders. The trio then spray-painted their “L” on both Baker and Hayter before leaving.

Now AEW on social media has confirmed that the villainous trio of former WWE stars will be known as The Outcasts. The name and the spray paint have caused many comparisons to The Outsiders Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in WCW, who were also former WWE stars invading a rival company.

With gang warfare encompassing the women’s division, many believe this year could see the first women’s Blood & Guts match in company history.
