New AEW Champion Injured

Following a big title win on AEW Collision, it appears that a new champion is suffering from an injury.

Following an injury suffered by Jay White leaving him unable to defend the Unified AEW Trios Title, Christopher Daniels stripped The Bang Bang Gang of the title rendering it vacant. Daniels declared that Robinson and The Gunns will have a chance to win the vacant title in a match against The Patriarchy’s Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne.

That match took place on the 20th of July edition of Collision with The Patriarchy coming out on top meaning that Cage has now held two of AEW’s titles, Killswitch has held three, and Nick Wayne has captured his first gold in the company. But that win has come at a price.

Killswitch Injured In AEW Title Win

A report from the Wrestling Observer noted that Killswitch suffered an injury during the title win. The injury appears to be a partially torn biceps but the former Luchasaurus is expected to work through it.

In the same report, it was noted that Jay White’s foot injury that led to the title being vacated is legitimate but he’s not expected to miss much time from the ring.
