Netiflix Scrap Vince McMahon Documentary
Amidst the latest twist and turns in the saga over Vince McMahon and serious allegations of misconduct, Netflix has seemingly pulled a documentary on the WWE supremo.
Following a Wall Street Journal report that indicated WWE’s Board of Directors was investigating Vince McMahon over alleged payments to a former employee he had an affair with, new reports suggest the extent of McMahon’s use of NDAs and “hush money” payments go much deeper than that.
The Journal reported on July 8th that McMahon paid more than $12 million to four women formerly associated with WWE over the course of 16 years. One of the claims states that Vince McMahon allegedly coerced a female star into performing oral sex on him before ultimately firing her after she rejected further advances. McMahon is said to have paid the woman in question $7.5 million.
Now Denise Salcedo has reported that one of the consequences of these tawdry allegations is now being felt. Salcedo says that a planned Netflix documentary on McMahon has now seemingly been shelved by the streaming giant:
“Sources tell me that the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary has been pulled & is off the programming spreadsheet at Netflix. A source at Netflix confirmed it no longer being listed on their spreadsheet, another source at Netflix said “that sh*t’s out of here.”
Another source indicated that the project was already “deep” in post-production & that several talent interviews had been done months ago & that millions were spent. I spoke to one of the producers on the project, however they declined to confirm nor deny this story to me.”
