A video posted by Netflix on social media has confirmed that there will be a WWE series with behind-the-scenes content.

The Netflix era of WWE is approaching as the year 2024 wraps up while 2025 is around the corner.

It was announced in January of this year that starting in January 2025, the 31-year television staple known as WWE’s Monday Night Raw will be heading to Netflix, which is by far the biggest streaming service in the world with over 275 million subscribers worldwide.

In addition to Raw going to Netflix for most fans worldwide, most countries outside of the US (like Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, etc.) will get other WWE shows on Netflix like Smackdown and NXT as well. That also includes current WWE PLEs as well as historical content. Other unnamed territories and countries will see Raw move to Netflix over time.

Netflix has not had that much experience doing live content, but they are known for doing some incredible documentaries. When it comes to sports, Netflix has done some very successful documentaries and series covering different sports like the NFL, NBA, Formula 1 racing, tennis, golf, and many others.

As part of the new WWE deal with Netflix, there will also be a behind-the-scenes series featuring WWE superstars. This was expected, but for the first time, Netflix has promoted it on social media with clips of Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley in the following video.

WWE Raw Debut On Netflix To Feature Two Huge Grudge Matches

Two big matches have already been announced for Raw’s Netflix debut on January 6th in Los Angeles. Roman Reigns will be in action against his cousin Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match where the two men will battle to see who the “Tribal Chief” really is.

Another huge grudge match will see CM Punk take on his rival Seth “Freakin” Rollins on the January 6th episode of Raw in Los Angeles.
