Netflix Taking Hardline With WWE Over Content
When WWE moved to Netflix many fans expected a loser set of rules governing Raw but according to Michael Cole, things are very strict.
A lot was made about WWE ditching its family-friendly presentation when it moved to Netflix but those expecting a return to the Wild West of the Attitude Era had to pump the brakes.
Triple H made clear that WWE would still be a safe place for kids while company president Nick Khan confirmed the company definitely wasn’t going to be rated R. And it seems the WWE announcers are feeling the pressure of the rules as well.
Michael Cole Says Netflix Strict With WWE
Speaking on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, Michael Cole confirmed that Netflix is being strict with WWE and he has to be very careful on commentary and at least try to make sure Pat McAfee is as well:
In this day and age, you have to be very careful with what you say. Even with Netflix, we thought we would be able to get away with a few other things, but Netflix is very strict with that, too.
Guys like us, who are talking like, especially working with Pat, who has no buffer. You have to be really careful with what you say.
