Netflix’s association with WWE just got ‘stranger.’

The Stamford-based company is advertising its January 5, 2026, episode as the 1st anniversary of Raw with the world-renowned streaming service.

It has also announced high-stakes matches for the taping, which will see CM Punk defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker.

Also on the show, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) will defend their Women’s Tag Team Championship against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.

Furthermore, Becky Lynch will get her Intercontinental Championship rematch against Maxxine Dupri.

On the December 22 episode of the red brand, Lynch returned after ‘boycotting’ TV for several weeks. Dupri confronted her, leading to a brawl between the two. The segment ended with the champion making The Man tap out yet again.

During the taping, Asuka and Rhea Ripley also clashed in a singles match, which ended with The Empress of Tomorrow securing her first singles match victory over The Eradicator.

CM Punk was also on the receiving end of a beatdown at the hands of Breakker for the second consecutive week.

After Punk’s tag team match, the 28-year-old came to the ring and hit a spear to take him out. The taping ended with Breakker standing over his veteran rival.
