Natalya Reveals More About John Cena Visiting “The Dungeon”

John Cena WWE

Natalya has opened up about how John Cena reached out to visit The Dungeon.

John Cena has just two more appearances left in his WWE retirement. He will defend the Intercontinental Title against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series on November 29, and then he’ll face the winner of the Last Time Is Now Tournament on December 13th at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will be Cena’s final show as a WWE superstar.

As a 17-time WWE World Champion who also has a busy life outside of the WWE ring, John Cena still wants his friends to know that they mean a lot to him.

It was revealed earlier this month that John Cena visited The Dungeon, which is a wrestling training facility run by WWE’s TJ Wilson (aka Tyson Kidd) and Natalya for only the invited. The married power couple of TJ and Natalya have been on the WWE roster for nearly 20 years, so they know Cena well. When he reached out to visit their ring, where they work out and help train other wrestlers, they invited Cena to come by.

During a recent episode of Busted Open, Natalya spoke about how John Cena reached out to make the visit to The Dungeon happen.

“John sends me a text, and he’s like, ‘Hey Nattie, what time are you guys training this week?’ I said, ‘John, if you wanna get some reps or get in the ring, if you want privacy, I’ll just give you a key and you can come to The Dungeon on your own or whatever you need, we can help you, we can set up a private time.’

“He was like, ‘No no no no no – I wanna come and I wanna talk to all of your students, I wanna share all the information I can share, I just wanna give back, I wanna be there, pay it forward sort of thing. I just wanna be there.’”

John Cena Gave A Masterclass At The Dungeon

Natalya continued discussing how John Cena gave amazing advice to everyone at The Dungeon.

“So he shows up at The Dungeon 15 minutes early, which I was like, ‘Okay, this is awesome.’ He’s not a diva. He introduces himself to everyone, shakes everyone’s hand, he’s super polite.

“He gave a masterclass in every single thing that he could give. He gave us hours and hours of his time, and he was like, ‘I just wanna help everyone succeed. I want you guys to make it. I wanna share what helped me make it. The good, the bad, the mistakes, the triumphs.’ It was wild.

“Afterwards, John sent TJ and I a text and said, ‘If there’s anything I could have done to improve, if there’s any feedback you guys can give me to be better, if you have anything just tell me. I just wanna be the best I can be.’

“This is a guy that is the greatest professional wrestler of our generation. He is asking us what he can do better.

“Everybody was just wrestling with their entire heart and soul. It was so cool because John lit us all up. He changed our perspectives and made everything better. He made our lives better.”

After his visit to The Dungeon, John Cena posted this image with TJ, Natalya, and the other wrestlers, along with a flattering message.
