Natalya Reveals How John Cena Views WWE Producer Role
John Cena has a lot of respect for the role of a WWE Producer.
The superstars who step into the WWE ring get a lot of credit when a match is great, but there is a whole team behind them as well.
While it’s up to the athletes to deliver in the ring, they also work with a WWE Producer to craft the match in a way that will entertain WWE fans and deliver a finish the creative team wants to see.
Earlier this week, John Cena went to “The Dungeon” training ring of married WWE couple Natalya and TJ Wilson (fka Tyson Kidd), who has been a Producer for WWE for nearly ten years since his in-ring career ended due to a serious neck injury.
At The Dungeon, which is named after where Natalya and TJ trained to be wrestlers in Calgary, the WWE stars invite active WWE superstars, independent pro wrestlers, and sometimes people from other promotions to step into the ring and train.
After his visit, John Cena posted on social media about the hard work that his friends Natalya and TJ are putting in to help wrestlers get better.
The brilliance, ability & generosity of @TJWilson & @natbynature is astounding. The Dungeon’s existence shows how dedicated my two friends are to the industry we love.

Natalya Knows That John Cena Respects The Role Of WWE Producers
During an interview with CTV News while promoting her new book, The Last Hart Beating, Natalya spoke about how John Cena was in awe of the hard work that goes on in The Dungeon.
“Now TJ is a producer for WWE. He produces, you know, we’re with WWE, we’re on Netflix, we’re Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, their longest running episodic TV shows in history, and TJ produces weekly television on a global scale. So he loves what he does. He loves the talent that he works with.
Just last week, we had John Cena come to our ring. He came to our ring, and he was just like, it’s very cool, but he’s always just been in awe of what TJ does, and it was so nice to see that mutual gratitude paid back to TJ, because now he’s in this great point in his life where someone like John Cena is saying, ‘hey, this is awesome.’” (H/T Fightful)
John Cena’s final match will be against the winner of a 16-man tournament. That match will take place on Saturday, December 13th, at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.
