Natalya Thinks Forgotten WWE Star Deserves More Credit
Natalya has a lot of love for a WWE veteran.
Tamina signed with WWE in 2010 and immediately teamed up with The Usos. She went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Natalya in May 2021 while notching up nine 24/7 Title wins.
However, the star hasn’t wrestled since February 2023.
An update in July 2024 revealed that WWE had no plans to use Tamina, and she hadn’t been present at any TV tapings for several months. Despite this, she was expected to continue with the company because of her standing in the locker room.
Natalya Thinks Tamina Deserves More
In a new interview with DS of Ring the Belle, Natalya heaped praise on her former tag team partner, adding that she deserves more credit.
“I loved working with Tamina. When she was in our locker room, she was one of the most giving, selfless, amazing people to work with, and Tamina does not get enough credit because she was in a lot of great matches.
I loved working against her. I loved working with her. And she is one of the nicest, most special humans that I’ve ever known, and I would fight alongside her any day of the week, whenever she wants. I would love to see Tamina back in WWE.
She didn’t get enough credit. I mean, she was there in WWE for a long time, but I felt that she never wanted to be in the spotlight as much as she wanted to be there for the girls in the locker room. I think that’s so commendable. She loved being the true Mama Bear of the locker room.”
In 2025, Natalya has been enjoying her own resurgence, largely driven by a series of matches outside of WWE where she competed as Nattie Neidhart. This has allowed the veteran to showcase a more vicious side to her character with a more hard-hitting in-ring style.
During a recent Q&A, Mercedes Mone said Tamina is doing “really good” as her WWE absence continues.
