Naomi’s 15 Years In WWE

Naomi’s time in WWE pre-dates NXT, and she was part of the company’s former developmental partners, Florida Championship Wrestling, where she became the first-ever FCW Divas Champion. She was then part of NXT when it was a limited series that saw developmental talents battle it out in a competition to make their way to the WWE’s main roster.

In 2012, Naomi debuted on the main roster as one of Brodus Clay’s Funkadactyls. That group lasted for almost two years in WWE before Naomi found another group in the form of Team B.A.D., which also included Sasha Banks and Tamina. That group was formed as part of Stephanie McMahon’s “Divas Revolution” as Banks made her main roster debut while still NXT Women’s Champion.

She captured the SmackDown Women’s Title at Elimination Chamber in 2017 before having to vacate the gold. However, WrestleMania 33 felt The Glow when she recaptured the championship in a six-pack challenge.

In May 2022, Naomi held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Sasha Banks when both women walked out of the company, having grown frustrated with their creative direction. While Banks resurrected her career as Mercedes Mone in NJPW then AEW, Naomi became Trinity and captured the TNA Knockouts Title when she joined that promotion.

At the 2024 Royal Rumble, Naomi returned to WWE, and it was when she turned heel after being revealed as Jade Cargill’s mystery attacker that she really came into her own once again. Urging others to “proceed with caution”, Naomi captured the Money In The Bank contract in 2025, cashing it in at Evolution to win the Women’s World Championship.
