Naomi Officially Becomes WWE Champion
Naomi has worked Jade Cargill’s injury to her advantage and now she’s officially been crowned a champion in WWE.
SmackDown was thrown into chaos on November 22nd when footage of a battered Jade Cargill lying across the hood of a smashed car was shown on the big screen. The big reveal came during a match between Bianca Belair, Blair Davenport, and Chelsea Green, causing Belair to run backstage to check on her tag team partner.
As a result of the attack, Jade Cargill was pulled from WarGames and the Women’s US Title Tournament leaving a question mark hanging over the future of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship that she holds with Bianca Belair.
One top WWE star denied attacking Jade Cargill as the mystery over her assailant continues to grow but the question about her championship was answered.
Nick Aldis informed Bianca Belair that she and Cargill would have to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship due to Cargill’s injury. Belair and Cargill’s good friend Naomi offered to step in to join Belair with Aldis relenting provided that they defend the title on SmackDown.
Naomi & Bianca Belair Pick Up Huge Win
The December 20th edition of SmackDown saw Belair and Naomi put their gold on the line against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Naomi noted she didn’t want to hold the title before that match but as she and Belair picked up the win, Naomi is now officially one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

This is the first gold that Naomi has held in the company since she held that same title with Sasha Banks in 2022. Both women were stripped of that title when they walked on Raw in May of that year before leaving WWE.
