Naomi Details Medical Struggles As She Opens Up About Pregnancy
In the same podcast episode, Naomi revealed the medical struggles she had to go through before her pregnancy. She shared that she discovered her pregnancy just before her scheduled match with IYO SKY on Monday Night RAW. She explained that in her hotel room, feeling slightly different and unsure, she decided to take a pregnancy test, not expecting a positive result due to her long struggle with fertility issues.
Naomi also mentioned that her baby was seven weeks along and she had already heard the heartbeat. She described her pregnancy as “high-risk” because she had her right ovary removed before joining the WWE main roster. In 2020, she had surgery to remove fibroids from her uterus. These medical procedures made her question whether pregnancy would ever happen for her.
It’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. So yeah, I really just didn’t think it was possible. It was more intense and severe than they thought it was initially, and just the healing and also a lot of scar tissue so that also affected…the ability, on top of being older, I’m 37 now, and on top of only having one ovary, we thought for sure that naturally, I couldn’t anymore.
