Name Change Coming For WWE Champion’s Fiancé
WWE’s random name generator is at it again for the fiancé of a current champion.
Maxxine Dupri surprised everyone when she managed to rack up back-to-back wins over WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, albeit by disqualification and count-out.
Dupri got her third bite at unseating Lynch for her title when Raw took place in Madison Square Garden, and she found herself getting some unexpected help. AJ Lee made her surprise return to TV, providing enough of a distraction to Lynch that Dupri was able to pin her and win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.
But there is someone very close to Dupri trying to make his own way in WWE.
Dupri’s fiancé, Anthony Luke, was part of WWE LFG and has competed on several NXT live events, where he has even teamed up with his off-screen partner in tag team action.
Anthony Luke Gets New WWE Name
At the November 22nd live event in Sanford, Florida, Luke’s name was changed to Kam Hendrix as he teamed with Lexis King and Brooks Jensen to defeat Dante Chen, Drake Morreaux, and Shiloh Hill.
BodySlam.net has now reported that Anthony Luke is set to go by a version of that name, with his new moniker expected to be Cam Hendricks.
Luke’s WWE LFG rival, Shiloh Hill, made his NXT debut with The Undertaker invoking an unfortunate phrase to celebrate the achievement of the talent that he previously coached.
