Mystery AEW Signing To Debut On Collision
New AEW signing Holo.grm is set to debut on the 20th July edition of AEW Collision.
The incoming star had signalled his arrival with a mysterious vignette with only a brief reveal of the name Holo.grm giving a clue as to the identity of the masked wrestler.
AEW have since released a second video, with the masked man jumping through portals in a video that ended with the words ‘next week’, signifying an expected debut on the upcoming edition of AEW Collision.
Initial speculation had suggested that the debutant could be recently departed former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Ricochet, although the mystery competitor is now widely believed to be former AAA star Aramis. Those rumours were seemingly been confirmed by prominent wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio:
“I’m gonna say four to five years ago, Tony Khan was talking with people and he had an idea for a character, which essentially would be a superhero flyer for Mexico. He wanted a young guy that had never been in the United States and he had signed Aramis at the time for the role. And then things happened, I don’t even remember what happened. It might have been the pandemic. It probably was the pandemic, actually.
But he couldn’t get him in the country, the contract ran out and Aramis, I think ended up with MLW, and it was all forgotten. And I think Aramis was going to college at the time, the most sure. But anyway, it’s come full circle. And he is coming in is doing the role that Tony Khan had envisioned him doing in 2019-2020 when he first started the company, so five years later, that’s the deal.”
AEW Fans Slammed By MJF
Whilst AEW fans may be excited by the incoming new star, one current top star has slammed them in an astonishing rant.
Speaking ahead of his hotly anticipated clash with Will Ospreay at AEW Dynamite 250, MJF labelled the company’s loyal fans as ‘sluts with a wandering eye’ before warning Ospreay that they would soon turn on him.
