MVP Says Vince McMahon Decision Left Him Scratching His Head

WWE star MVP has discussed one decision Vince McMahon made that left him and a few others in the company scratching their heads.

One of the highlights of the quickly forgotten pandemic era in WWE was The Hurt Business group which consisted of Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The group achieved in-ring success with Alexander and Benjamin holding the Raw Tag Team Title while at the same time, Lashley was WWE US Champion – but the group was not long for this world.

Before WrestleMania 37, Lashley attacked Benjamin and Alexander signalling their time in The Hurt Business was over, and bar a brief reunion later in 2021, the group has remained separate. However, MVP has recently brought Benjamin and Alexander back under his leadership but it still working on a resolution with Lashley who MVP turned his back on to side with Omos in the spring of 2022.

Speaking on Superstar Crossover, MVP discussed Vince McMahon’s decision to split the popular group and says its one that confused them:

“Vince McMahon makes decisions. That’s way above my pay grade. It was a decision that he made. Why he chose to do it? I have no idea, but it was his choice. He’s the boss — well, at the time, he was the boss, and that’s just how things go.”

“We were all scratching our heads, but at the end of the day, I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby’s being a little stubborn. I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me, and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. So, we’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business.”

Bobby Lashley might need all the help he can get at the Elimination Chamber as he is now signed on to face Brock Lesnar in their third one-on-one encounter.
