MVP To Make AEW In-Ring Debut
MVP will be in action on AEW Dynamite.
Despite having not wrestled in two years, in the weeks before his WWE exit, MVP remained adamant that his in-ring career wasn’t over.
The star eventually left the company in August 2024 after letting his expire but wasted little time in securing his next move, debuting with AEW a month later. Since then the former United States Champion has reunited with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin as the Hurt Syndicate while wrestling two matches for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and Battleground Championship Wrestling respectively.
It’s now been revealed that the veteran will be swapping his trademark suit for ring gear on an upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.
MVP To Make AEW In-Ring Debut In Tag Team Action
It was announced on the January 11th edition of AEW Collision that MVP will make his in-ring debut for the company at Dynamite Maximum Carnage.
On the previous episode Dynamite, Bobby Lashley saw off the challenge of Mark Briscoe after insulting Private Party on the way to the ring. After grabbing the win, Lashley and the rest of the Hurt Syndicate contained the attack before Private Party made the save.
During an interview in November, MVP admitted his wrestling career is coming to an end soon, but he plans to go out on a high.
Elsewhere on the show, Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Powerhouse Hobbs while Kenny Omega returns to AEW action against Brian Cage. The episode will also feature the first-ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match.
