MVP Wants Hurt Syndicate To Get Proper Ending In AEW

MVP AEW

MVP has lifted the lid on why The Hurt Syndicate has made its home in AEW and says his group was cut down before people were ready for it to end.

In WWE, Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander dominated Raw during the pandemic as The Hurt Business. Capturing all titles available to them at one time or another, the group became massively popular but things came to an end just as quickly as they began with Lashley turning on Benjamin and Alexander. That came before MVP turned on Lashley to join up with the giant Omos.

But that didn’t mean fans didn’t want to see the group return.

Now in AEW, Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin have reunited on The Hurt Syndicate and they have immediately targeted Swerve Strickland. Strickland rejected MVP’s approach to join the group setting up a huge match at Full Gear that will see Bobby Lashley compete in AEW for the very first time.

MVP Thinks Hurt Business Ended Far Too Soon

Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette, MVP explained why the group has come to AEW and said the group had more to offer and he wants to give The Hurt Syndicate the ending it deserved:

Unfortunately, it was ended long before anyone was ready for it to end. We felt that we wanted to give our story the proper ending that it deserved. Tony Khan was kind enough to allow us to bring our conglomerate here.

Bobby Lashley added that the fans were very vocal about the group reuniting and now they have the chance:

The fans wanted us back. Any time I posted something, at least one comment would say Hurt Business, Hurt Business, Hurt Business. They always wanted to see us get back together because it was something that was real. We hung out together, we work out together…this is the perfect opportunity to do it again.

MVP has explained why WWE’s current management wasn’t for him as his time in the company came to an end before he made the switch to AEW.
