Multiple Stars Miss WWE Holiday Tour Live Event
One of WWE’s Holiday Tour live events was reportedly heavily affected by multiple stars being unable to reach the show.
This year, the Boxing Day edition of Monday Night Raw was run as a “best of” show to allow the production crew extra time off. However, WWE Superstars were still on the road as two Holiday Tour Live Events were run the same night in Madison Square Garden in New York City, and Columbus, Ohio.
The MSG show mostly went off without a hitch and featured a huge Ladder Match for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship as well as Bray Wyatt’s surprise return to the ring.
However, the same couldn’t be said for the Columbus event which Fightful Select has reported became a “logistical mess”. The report notes that multiple stars were late to the event and some didn’t make it at all due to the winter storm affecting the area.
Those that missed the show included Alexa Bliss, Bobby Lashley, Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins. The Visionary had been due to main event the show against Austin Theory, but this had to be changed to Theory putting the United States Championship on the line against Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest in Gargano’s second bout of the night.
