Multiple AAA Stars In Town For WWE Raw
Triplemania featured several WWE stars on the show, and it seems some AAA stars are set to return the favour on Monday Night Raw.
At WrestleMania 41, WWE dropped the bombshell that they had acquired Mexican promotion AAA. Since then, the integration of WWE talent on AAA shows has developed at pace, and that was in full flow at Triplemania XXXIII.
The likes of El Grande Americano, Dragon Lee, Dominik Mysterio, The Judgment Day, Cruz del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Otis, and Omos all competed on that show in various bouts. And now it seems two AAA stars are making the trip to Monday Night Raw.
AAA Champion Heading To WWE Raw
Fightful Español has now reported that several AAA names are in Philadelphia ahead of WWE Raw. Mr. Iguana and AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo are both in town for Raw following their efforts at Triplemania.
It was noted that El Hijo Del Vikingo will continue his feud with Dominik Mysterio, which is expected to continue into Worlds Collide on September 12th. Mr. Iguana’s appearances will be sporadic, according to the report, with those in the company very happy with how he has been received by fans so far.
It was also noted that there will be semi-regular integration of AAA talent in WWE programming moving forward.
WWE Raw will see Jey Uso clash with Bron Breakker ahead of Uso being part of a huge four-way match at Clash In Paris for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Gold will also be on the line as Becky Lynch defends the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Natalya. Lynch has demanded a more intense version of the WWE veteran meets her in the ring.
Women’s World Champion Naomi will also address her status one week after she was pulled from a planned title defence on the show.
