Multi-Time WWE Champion Signs New Contract

A former WWE Champion won’t be leaving the company any time soon.

In early September it was reported that WWE was in talks with several stars regarding new contracts. The news after it was reported that Asuka had signed a new long-term deal with the company.

There’s been a big push within WWE in 2024 to sign many top stars to new contracts as several stood on the brink of free agency. However, the likes of Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest have all committed to the company in recent months.

The one notable exception is Becky Lynch who is currently a free agent after letting her contract expire on June 1st. Despite not being under contract, Lynch is widely expected to re-sign with WWE in a deal that would make her the highest-paid female star on the planet.

Top Star Signs New WWE Deal

As reported by Fightful Select, Sheamus has now signed a new contract with the sports entertainment giant. His most recent deal had been scheduled to expire earlier in the year but time was added due to injury.

Although details on the new contract remain thin on the ground, it’s said to be a multi-year agreement.

It had previously been reported by PWInsider that Sheamus had signed a contract extension for between three and five years.

Sheamus was most recently in action on the September 16th episode of Raw where he was defeated by Pete Dunne.
