Muhammad Ali Announced For WWE Hall Of Fame
Muhammad Ali is set to be honoured for his part in wrestling and WrestleMania history with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
WrestleMania season is upon us and that means the WWE Hall of Fame will also be taking place. Now Variety has revealed that the next inductee into the Class of 2024 is boxing’s greatest ever star, Muhammad Ali.
As well as his exploits in the boxing ring, Muhammad Ali became involved in the world of wrestling when he faced off with Antonio Inoki in an exhibition match in Tokyo in 1976.
Ali was part of the original WrestleMania in 1985 as a special guest referee for the main event that pitted Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against Paul Orndorff and ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. Muhammad Ali was involved in the wrestling world again in 1995 when he appeared as a guest of honour and the joint WCW/NJPW Collision In Korea show.
Who Joins Muhammad Ali In 2024 WWE Hall Of Fame?
Paul Heyman was the first person announced for the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame despite still being a big part of the company’s programming through his relationship with Roman Reigns.
Japanese joshi star and former WWE Women’s Champion Bull Nakano will also be honoured as will former WWE Tag Team Champions Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda, collectively known as The U.S. Express.
