Movie Starring Dave Bautista To Sponsor High-Profile WWE Match
A movie starring WWE legend Dave Bautista will be featured heavily during an upcoming match.
During his career as a WWE superstar, Dave Bautista aka Batista was a six-time WWE World Champion who was one of the biggest stars in the company during his run through the 2000s decade and into the early 2010s as well.
The last match Dave Bautista had was a gruesome retirement match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. It was a fitting end for “The Animal” because he won his first World Heavyweight Title in WWE at WrestleMania 21 in 2005 when he beat his mentor Triple H.
Dave Bautista is currently promoting a new film called “The Killer’s Game” that comes out on September 13th. The movie also stars former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as well.
It has been reported by WrestleVotes on Twitter/X that “The Killer’s Game” movie will be the presenting sponsor for the Strap Match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at the WWE Bash in Berlin PLE this Saturday, August 31st.
“The Killers Game,” a new @Lionsgate film starring Dave Bautista, will be the presenting sponsor of the Strap Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at this weekend’s Bash at Berlin. McIntyre has a supporting role in the film, releasing on September 13th.
When McIntyre promoted his role in “The Killer’s Game” this week, he bragged about being in a movie while taking a shot at Punk for being a straight-to-DVD release movie star.
Dave Bautista Still Wants WWE Hall Of Fame Induction
As one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time, Dave Bautista is obviously a Hall of Famer, but it hasn’t happened. Batista was originally announced for 2020, but it was canceled due to Covid-19 and he didn’t want to do it the following year with no fans in attendance. In 2023, there were rumors of Batista going into the WWE Hall of Fame that year. However, it didn’t work out because he was filming a movie out of the country.
Bautista recently made it clear that he wants that WWE Hall of Fame induction.
“Eventually, I will. I want to. And there was a good opportunity for me to go in a couple of years ago, and I agreed to do it. Hunter (Triple H) asked me to do it. And I said, ‘Yeah, of course.’ And but it was here in LA, and I thought it was perfect. It was storybook, because I won my first title here in LA. We couldn’t figure it out because I was working on a film I was in South Africa, so logistically, we just couldn’t make it happen. But, yeah, I’m still open to it. One day I would like to.”
Regarding a possible final WWE match, Bautista said he already had his last match and doesn’t intend to have one more match.
