Motor City Machine Guns Reflect On Stunning WWE Title Win

WWE Motor City Machine Guns Sabin Shelley Debut

The Motor City Machine Guns have reflected on their recent capture of the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The popular duo of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley had been free agents since their TNA contracts expired on 1st April, ultimately opting to sign with WWE in September after months of intense speculation about their future.

The duo made a successful start to life in WWE with a convincing victory over Los Garza and A-Town Down Under on the October 18th edition of WWE Smackdown, before defeating #DIY the following week to earn a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship.

That title bout would occur immediately after a challenge from Solo Sikoa and the newly debuted pairing pulled off an upset victory to win the titles from Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa.

The Motor City Machine Guns looked back on their win during WWE SmackDown LowDown, with Chris Sabin admitting that it was still sinking in:

“I think it’s still sinking in. You know, I’m almost kind of speechless. I don’t know what to say. It’s kind of unheard of to be on the fast track to success like this in the WWE, but this is exactly what we came here to do. We came here to prove that we’re one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and there’s only one place you can do that, and that’s right here in WWE.”

Alex Shelley, meanwhile, shared his belief that the MCMG were the best in the world but admitted that the hard work was still to come:

“Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter what we did last week, it doesn’t matter what we did an hour ago. What matters right now is that we’re champions, and we have to hold on to these. so the hard work’s just beginning, but you didn’t see nothing yet. We’re the greatest of all time for a reason. We’re going to prove it to the WWE Universe.”

Motor City Machine Guns Congratulated By Triple H

The new WWE Tag Team Champions were swiftly congratulated by WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H.

‘The Game’ has become renowned for a backstage photograph with new title holders and he once again delivered, posting his congratulations to the duo in a post on social media site ‘X’:

“On one hand… a long time coming. On the other hand… three matches in @WWE, and they’re already champions.

Congratulations to the Motor City Machine Guns @AlexShelley313 & @SuperChrisSabin.”
