More AEW Exits Expected After Latest Departure
As another AEW star looks to be on the way out of the company, it’s been suggested that more exits are on the way.
Leyla Hirsch is set to leave AEW when her contract expires on February 28. It’s unknown whether this was a joint decision taken by both parties or if one side wanted to end the working relationship.
Hirsch made her debut for the company in October 2020 before officially becoming All Elite the following March. The Russian star was initially a regular presence across AEW television, but her momentum took a hit when she sustained a torn ACL in early 2022.
After being out of action for over a year, Hirsch returned in July 2023 and was mostly used in Ring of Honor from that point forward. Hirsch made her final appearance for the company in December 2024 and has yet to wrestle anywhere in 2025.
Hirsch’s imminent exit came after AEW released Ricky Starks, Malakai Black, and Miro after prolonged questions about all three star’s futures in the company.
More AEW Exits On The Way
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that he believes more exits are imminent in AEW and expects to hear of more departures in the month of March:
I think that this will not be the last time you hear this story in the month of March. I have heard that there might be some departures coming up in March. Whether it’s people being released, people’s deals coming up and not being renewed. I think the fact of the matter is, they got way too many people under contract…
I think I can comfortably say she [Leyla Hirsch] will not be the last in the next 30 days.
Despite these exits, Tony Khan is still bringing talents in as AEW has finally confirmed the signing of Speedball Mike Bailey.
