MJF Explains Why He Paid Tribute To WWE’s Triple H “The Greatest Ever”

MJF believes that Triple H is the greatest wrestler ever while also explaining why he paid tribute to The Game.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque is a lot of things to different people in the pro wrestling business. As the current WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque is a creator, coach, and decision-maker for the entire WWE roster.

For most of the 2010 decade, he was winding up his career as an active wrestler while also creating a cool alternative brand of WWE called NXT.

During the 1990s and throughout the 2000s, Triple H was one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time with more than a decade as a main event performer while winning 14 World Titles.

AEW American Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman is the longest reigning AEW World Champion who also happens to be the youngest as well since he was born in 1996, which means he was born just three years before Triple H won his first WWE Championship.

MJF Felt Connection To Triple H After Returning From Injury

After missing nearly five months with a significant injury, MJF returned at AEW Double or Nothing on May 26th wearing a blue/black jean jacket. It’s similar to what Triple H wore when he returned in January 2002 in Madison Square Garden after he missed about seven months of action after a torn quadriceps muscle.

“Oh, my god. The greatest ever! When I was a kid … so, I was born in ’96, so I vividly remember that [Triple H’s return from injury at Madison Square Garden]. That was my arena as a kid, and I thought, ‘All right. I’m returning from a serious injury.’ Every other f**king mark/nerd in wrestling does cosplay gear, and I was like, I’m gonna do it one time, and one time only.”

“I put my own spin on it. I put Burberry all over it, MJF, my lion. But, yeah, it was a bit of an homage, for sure. That was my childhood.”

While Triple H’s days as a wrestler are done, MJF has a big AEW American Championship title defense at AEW All In London against Will Ospreay in what is one of the most highly anticipated matches at the show.
