MJF Issues Warning To Shane McMahon About Possible AEW Appearance

MJF AEW American Champion

MJF has a message to Shane McMahon if the son of the former WWE owner decides to make an AEW appearance.

One of the biggest pro wrestling stories of the summer was the fact that longtime WWE wrestler/employee Shane McMahon met with AEW’s Owner Tony Khan recently.

When Khan spoke about the meeting, he mentioned Shane wasn’t doing anything in WWE and Khan expressed that the meeting went well since he has a lot of respect for what Shane has done in the pro wrestling business over the last 30 years.

Whether the meeting between Khan and McMahon leads to a deal is unknown, but if Shane did appear on AEW television, it would be shocking to a lot of people since his father Vince McMahon built WWE while his brother-in-law Triple H is running the company.

The AEW American Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman aka MJF spoke to Cultaholic about it and as usual, Max didn’t shy away from the topic.

“I think it would be bad for Shane McMahon’s mental health to get in a ring with me on a microphone or bell to bell. So my answer is yes, because I would have the time of my f*cking life. But my answer also just because I’m so salt to the earth is I think for the first time in my career, maybe I’d feel bad.”

As he continued, MJF went on to blast McMahon while also taking a shot at Tony Khan as well.

“He’s a f**king mark. I mean, yeah, that was my reaction. I don’t respect either of them. I respect the fact that I am the highest-paid athlete in my company. Rightfully so. Outside of that and the money stuff. I don’t know, man.”

Since it’s MJF, it’s worth pointing out that he often likes to do interviews in character so those comments may just be his character talking.

MJF Set For Huge Title Match At AEW All In

One of the most anticipated matches at the AEW All In pay-per-view on August 25th will see MJF defend the AEW International Title against Will Ospreay. That match will be a rematch of their 60-minute classic from the July 17th edition of Dynamite that saw MJF win thanks to the dreaded Dynamite Diamond Ring punch to the head with two seconds left in the match.

In the week that followed, MJF changed the name of the International Title to the American Title.
