MJF Still Wants To Be Paid For Showing Up At Benefit Show

MJF

MJF won’t break character even as he’s been announced for a benefit show to help a fellow wrestler who recently revealed a devastating illness.

MJF has been all business ever since he was eventually welcomed into The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. The former AEW World Champion is trying to use his newfound allies to help in his quest to eventually reclaim his Triple B, but it remains to be seen how long Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP will put up with The Salt of the Earth.

Despite being a scumbag, MJF has agreed to appear at a benefit show for independent wrestling talent Jeff Cannonball who recently revealed they had been diagnosed with ALS.

MJF Needs A Rolex

Former AEW star Joey Janela announced the news on social media, noting that he reached out to the star despite hating him:

9/14/2025 will be one of the biggest shows in independent history for Jeff Cannonball and I will go to any means necessary to keep that word! I had to reach out to someone I despise with a burning passion to make that a reality! Maxwell Jacob Friedman comes to CANNONBALLFEST!

However, MJF isn’t breaking character to do a good deed as the graphic for his announcement includes the following disclaimer:

MJF claims that he will be the only person getting paid at this show and it will be double his normal rate because he wants a new Rolex and couldn’t care less about Jeff Cannonball and his family.
