MJF Faces Unlikely Star At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
MJF made his return to an AEW ring for the first time in six months on Dynamite and now he knows who he’s going to face at Forbidden Door.
At the AEW Double or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas, MJF made his return to AEW television to confront his former best friend Adam Cole. That didn’t go well for Cole since Max got some revenge in a segment where Max also spoke about how he was going to be with AEW long-term.
Rush was one AEW star that didn’t take too kindly to MJF’s return and on Dynamite in Fairfax, Virginia the two stars squared off in MJF’s first match since losing the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe at Worlds End in December 2023.
MJF Faces CMLL Star At Forbidden Door
MJF picked up a big win over Rush on the show, pinning the Mexican star after a stalling brainbuster. However, there was no time to celebrate as The Cage of Agony appeared on the video screen to tell The Salt of the Earth that the EVPs had made a match between MJF and CMLL’s Hechicero for Forbidden Door.
Later in the evening, MJF came to Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard’s rescue after The Cage of Agony attacked them, however, Will Ospreay also came to make the save leading to an interesting showdown between the former AEW World Champion and the man who could be the next AEW World Champion.
