MJF Says Max Caster Is A Smarter Rapper Than Swerve Strickland
MJF has some strong opinions on the rap skills of his fellow AEW wrestlers.
When it comes to rapping, the All Elite Wrestling has a couple of guys who are very skilled when it comes to performing that kind of music. Two names that come to mind immediately are Max Caster of The Acclaimed and the current AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.
As AEW fans know, Maxwell Jacob Friedman aka MJF is never shy about giving his opinion on any topic. That includes the rap skills of his fellow AEW wrestlers.
While being interviewed by Cultaholic, MJF made it clear that he supports Caster’s raps over the rapping efforts of Strickland.
“Swerve Strickland is a dime store rapper. I prefer Max Caster’s raps. They’re much more intelligent. They’re much more thought out.”
“If we’re being honest, everybody likes Caster more than Swerve. I see it online all the time. People love Max Caster. Platinum Max is what they call him. We had a falling out, unfortunately, but it’s fine. I blame Jay White for that.”
Friedman is known for doing interviews in character, so that could be the case here since he held the AEW World Championship, which Swerve currently holds, longer than anybody in the history of the company.
MJF Warns Shane McMahon About Joining AEW
In the same interview, MJF also took a shot at former WWE employee Shane McMahon, who has been talking to AEW’s Tony Khan recently.
“I think it would be bad for Shane McMahon’s mental health to get in a ring with me on a microphone or bell to bell. So my answer is yes, because I would have the time of my f*cking life. But my answer also just because I’m so salt to the earth is I think for the first time in my career, maybe I’d feel bad.”
“He’s a f**king mark. I mean, yeah, that was my reaction. I don’t respect either of them. I respect the fact that I am the highest-paid athlete in my company. Rightfully so. Outside of that and the money stuff. I don’t know, man.”
At AEW All In on August 25th, MJF will defend the American Championship against Will Ospreay, who will have the home crowd advantage in England.
