MJF Makes Big Change On AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash
AEW presented its New Year’s edition of Dynamite tonight, as the promotion hosted AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash live from the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
The card was filled with multiple title matches, with champions like Ricochet and Mercedes Mone defending their titles, while the newly crowned AEW World Champion, MJF, was also scheduled to address the crowd.
The night kicked off with MJF’s segment as the Salt of the Earth celebrated his title win at World’s End. It was poetic justice for MJF as he defeated Samoa Joe for the championship at the same pay-per-view where Joe ended his first title reign.
MJF Brings back the Triple B on AEW Dynamite
He came out to the ring and gloated about defeating all of Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page, and Swerve Strickland at World’s End. He reintroduced the Triple B tonight, just as he did after winning the title the last time.
The Triple B is MJF’s custom version of the World Championship, which stands for Big Burberry Belt, in reference to the Burberry Muffler he sports around his neck.
