MJF Channels John Cena After Disputed AEW Title Win

MJF on AEW Dynamite

MJF is the new AEW International Champion and now he’s given his first comment after winning the gold in hugely controversial fashion.

The 250th edition of AEW Dynamite kicked off with a match worthy of a pay-per-view main event as Will Ospreay put his AEW International Championship on the line against MJF. While many expected that match to take place at All In, it seems Tony Khan has a plan for his current AEW booking that saw Dynamite stacked with huge matches.

Ospreay and MJF tangled for close to an hour in an epic contest before the former AEW World Champion resorted to his tried and trusted tricks.

As the one-hour time limit neared its end which would have meant a draw and Will Ospreay retaining his title but following the referee being taken out, MJF used his Dynamite Diamond ring to clock the champion and pick up the pinfall victory with just two seconds left on the clock to become the new AEW International Champion.

MJF Gloats After AEW Title Win

Now taking to social media, MJF has channelled John Cena as he breaks his silence after his controversial title win:

Will Ospreay’s title reign has been caught and compromised to a permanent end. America has a real champion now. Easy W. #ThankMeLater

John Cena famously used the “caught and compromised to a permanent end” phrase when he bizarrely announced the death of Osama Bin Laden to the live WWE crowd after Extreme Rules in 2011.
