MJF Has Lost His Way According To AEW Star

MJF looking angry on AEW Dynamite

Despite thinking he’s an “incredible talent,” one AEW star thinks MJF has lost his way.

At Dynamite Maximum Carnage, MJF caused controversy with a scathing promo about Jeff Jarrett, telling him he is the “last thing you see before your favourite wrestling company dies.” The pair went on to trade more jabs in a lengthy promo battle, with Jarrett hitting home when he called Friedman a “one-hit wonder,” and it looks like things won’t end there.

Reflecting on the segment during the latest episode of his My World podcast, Jarrett indicated he still had some receipts to give Friedman before calling him “a little bitch.”

“I kind of went back and forth on just giving MJF even the most little bit of rebuttal of his nonsense. You kind of go over the history of MJF, whether it’s Adam Cole, or Punk, or any of his feuds, he’s likes to verbally joust and to me, it’s passe. He wants to go there, I’ll go there and much further.

“Like I told him in the promo, that may be one of the truest lines that I’ll ever tell, old Max, I was you because you were you. I’m very curious to see where all of this goes. I knew from my statement on January 1 was going to ruffle some feathers, I actually didn’t think it would ruffle his feathers the most, but it has.

“He got a little bit of a receipt, he’ll have a few more coming. He covered his eyes up like a little bitch and I guarantee his knuckles are as sore as his eye was.”

Continuing, Jarrett said the pair had spoken after the show, and while he can see a lot of talent in the star, he thinks he’s “lost his way.”

“We have both talked offline, we really believe he is an incredible talent, but I think he’s lost his way. I’ll just say that. The one-hit wonder line stuck and to me, it’s more appropriate than I thought, but I said it almost tongue and cheek. But man, I believe he’s lost his way.”

MJF To Star In Upcoming Adam Sandler Movie

At the end of December, MJF dropped the first teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2. The Netflix-exclusive movie is the sequel to Adam Sandler’s hit comedy, and will feature Friedman in the role of Happy Gilmore’s son, Gordie.
