MJF Fires Back At Bret Hart For Acting Clueless About Him

MJF AEW

In November, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart appeared for an interview in Montreal, Canada.

At one point during the show, a fan in attendance yelled out MJF’s name, which left the veteran confused.

When informed who Maxwell Jacob Friedman was, he refused to acknowledge him, claiming he did not know the AEW superstar.

Many fans who heard about the incident felt strange about Hart’s behavior, considering he had shared the stage with ‘The Salt of the Earth’ at Double or Nothing in 2019.

MJF is one of the most outspoken wrestlers inside and outside the squared circle. He recently addressed the Bret Hart controversy and dragged the Canadian legend while introducing Goldberg into the conversation.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the 29-year-old wrestler even narrated their 2019 backstage exchange, stating there was no way he did not remember him.

Look, the guy had a seizure. He got kicked in the fucking head. He’s old as f*ck. Do I think it’s Bill Goldberg’s fault? Everything’s Bill Goldberg’s fault.

Now granted, Bret, much like me, is a troll. Do I think he actually doesn’t know who I am? Of course he f*cking knows who I am. But one of my favorite things about that day is after I absolutely roasted him and ripped him a new asshole, he goes walking up the stage to get to the back. He fell—because of Bill Goldberg, not because of Bret, because of Bill.

MJF Does Not Believe Bret Hart Is The GOAT

During the interview, MJF also shared his thoughts about Bret Hart being the greatest of all time, owing to his trademark punchline, ‘the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.’

Friedman gave a firm response, while also showing respect to the 68-year-old.

Wrestling is all flavor of ice cream. Like, is Bret Hart incredible? Yes. Is he my personal, in my opinion, the greatest of all time? In my personal opinion, no. But that doesn’t mean he’s not f*cking good at wrestling.
